Reco, the 15-year-old princess of Mushihime-sama. The daughter of the royal family in Hoshifuri Village, Reco is chosen to be sacrificed to appease the Koujuu God because of a stone bracelet passed unto her by Aki. Reco has a bubbly personality and a child-like curiosity, however this makes her come off as somewhat of a ditz in most situations, often leading to trouble for herself and those around her. Sets off to face the Koujuu god on her mighty bug steed Kiniro.
A boy who came to Reco's side and entrusted her with the Stone Bracelet. Acts as a guardian of humans in Hoshifuri by destroying threatening Koujuu from around the village. Supposedly enjoys walks.
A golden Rhinoceros Beetle koujuu and Reco's trusted ally. They communicate via the Stone Bracelet given to Reco by Aki. Kiniro is generally patient, reserved, and wise, but shows a clear willingness to betray the Koujuu for the sake of the humans. Becomes notably ruthless when it feels its life is in danger, likely represented by it granting a MAX-Power up on death. Has a particular dislike for Stag Beetles, and is known to initiate combat with them on sight.
The dominant insect species of Mushihime-sama. Upon death Kouyuu immediately biodegrade and leave behind flourishing vegetation, causing permanent and rapid growth to the extreme ecosystem of the world. "Levitation Energy" is their source of strength, not only allowing their enormous bodies to take flight, but also being able to be condensed into bullets. This concentrated Levitation Energy is known to humans as Miasma.
